Description
Haruka Ten'ou, who is also known as the guardian Sailor Uranus, is introduced during the storyline of "Sailor Moon Sailor Stars" as a seasoned and powerful warrior. She is a tall, sixteen-year-old student with short, windswept blonde hair and a lean, athletic build, often leading strangers to mistake her for a handsome young man. Her civilian life is that of a prodigy; she is a nationally recognized race car driver and an accomplished athlete, using her need for speed as an escape from the weight of her destiny. She typically dresses in masculine or androgynous clothing, preferring the male school uniform and practical gear that allows for easy movement.

In terms of personality, Haruka is defined by a fierce independence and an iron will. She is audacious, pragmatic, and possesses a sharp tongue, often clashing with the more idealistic inner Sailor Guardians. Unlike the other heroes who fight to save everyone, Haruka believes that protecting the future sometimes requires making terrible sacrifices, a mindset that makes her appear cold or radical. Her primary motivation is duty; as a member of the Outer Solar System Senshi, her singular mission is to protect their princess, Sailor Moon, from threats that invade from beyond the solar system. She carries this burden with a deep sense of gravity, refusing to let personal feelings interfere with the completion of her objectives.

Her role in the Sailor Stars narrative is that of a cynical veteran and a staunch protector. Alongside her partner, Michiru Kaiou, Haruka returns to Tokyo to face a new cosmic menace, Sailor Galaxia. She acts as a foil to the optimistic Sailor Moon, constantly questioning the motives of new allies, particularly the Sailor Starlights, whom she views with deep suspicion due to her protective nature. Her relationship with Michiru Kaiou, Sailor Neptune, is the cornerstone of her existence. They are soulmates, living together as a devoted couple who share an unbreakable bond both in battle and in civilian life. She also shares a deep commitment to Setsuna Meiou, Sailor Pluto, and acts as a protective parental figure to the reborn Hotaru Tomoe, Sailor Saturn, creating a surrogate family unit.

Throughout this final season, Haruka remains resolute but shows subtle development. The immense pressure of fighting Galaxia, who is far stronger than any previous enemy, pushes her to her limits. Despite her tough exterior, she displays a deep capacity for trust and affection, ultimately placing her faith in Sailor Moon's leadership and the new guardians. She is famously protective of Usagi Tsukino, the group's leader, often teasing her but also showing fierce jealousy when others, like Seiya Kou, get too close.

Notable abilities include her transformation into the warrior form of Sailor Uranus, the Soldier of the Sky. She possesses superhuman strength, speed, and agility, making her one of the most physically formidable fighters in the series. True to her association with the element of air, she commands wind and atmospheric forces. Her primary offensive techniques include "World Shaking," where she slams the ground to generate a massive, earthquake-like shockwave of energy, and "Space Sword Blaster," a technique that summons her talisman, the Space Sword, to unleash powerful slicing gales against her opponents.
