Movie
Description
Hözl is the king of the Kingdom of Krisna who ascended to the throne reluctantly after the death of his older brother, as he had never harbored any personal interest in power or ruling. Standing at 193 centimeters tall, he is a young monarch known for his contemplative nature, which earned him the nickname the Crowned Prince during his school days for staring at the sky and receiving failing grades.

As a ruler, Hözl is characterized by an internal conflict, torn between a combative spirit and a sense of resignation when facing the military threat from the Athens Federation. Despite his hesitations, he genuinely tries to be a good leader and cares deeply for the lives of his people. His policies have focused on restoring privileges to the common people that had been taken by the nobility, allowing commoners to demonstrate their skills in high-ranking positions, including piloting Golems in combat. He serves as the supreme commander of Krisna's military forces.

Hözl's role in the story is central as the sovereign of Krisna during a time of war. He and the queen summon their old friend Rygart Arrow to the capital, leading to the discovery of an ancient, non-quartz-based Golem that only Rygart can pilot. Hözl finds himself in a difficult position as his former classmate from the Assam military academy, Zeth, leads the invasion against his kingdom on behalf of Athens.

His key relationships are deeply intertwined with his past at military school. He befriended Rygart Arrow after ditching class to help him rescue an owl, an act that solidified their bond. He is married to Shee-Gyun, but their relationship is poor, and he is fully aware that his wife harbors strong romantic feelings for Rygart. Although he suppresses his emotions, Hözl still loves Shee-Gyun, having always known that she and Rygart loved each other. This tension culminates when Shee-Gyun petitions him for a divorce, which he eventually accepts, later berating Rygart for not being honest about his own feelings for her. Hözl also has a younger sister named Lindy who is married to a general from the Orlando Empire.

In terms of development, Hözl's character arc involves moving from a reluctant, hesitant heir to a king forced to make difficult decisions for his nation's survival. He ultimately accepts his wife's request for a divorce, recognizing that her heart belongs to another, and relieves Rygart of piloting the ancient Golem Delphine. He keeps a black owl named Goo-Lam as a companion. Regarding his abilities, while no specific combat capabilities are detailed, his position demands him to command the military and pilot Golems, consistent with other rulers and high-ranking officers in the world of Cruson.
