TV-Series
Description
Minori Nakazawa is a student at Tamo Agriculture School and the childhood friend and classmate of Kōsaku Hata. She has harbored a long-standing crush on him, which becomes more pronounced when the former idol Ringo Kinoshita transfers into their class. Minori reacts with jealousy and overprotectiveness, viewing Ringo as a rival for Kōsaku’s affections. Despite her competitiveness, she is fundamentally kind‑hearted and earnest, though somewhat clumsy in both her actions and her attempts to express her feelings. Her motivation stems from a desire to protect her bond with Kōsaku and to see him happy, even if that means pushing him to move past his obsessive idol worship—she once discarded his collection of Yuka Kusakabe merchandise to help him refocus. It is later revealed that Minori was the one who wrote letters to Ringo under Kōsaku’s name, inadvertently causing Ringo to enroll at the school and setting the central romantic dynamic in motion. This act demonstrates both her resourcefulness and her deep, if misguided, devotion. Within the group of friends, Minori is a reliable presence who participates actively in farming work and helps integrate Ringo into their circle, gradually developing from a background figure into a key player in the story’s comedic and romantic conflicts. Her relationships are defined by her affection for Kōsaku, her rivalry with Ringo, and her friendship with other classmates like Kei Kamatori and Kochō Yoshida. Over the course of the series, Minori’s character does not undergo a radical transformation but rather reveals greater emotional depth and agency, particularly as she admits her own role in shaping the events around her. She has no supernatural or combat abilities; her notable traits are her physical clumsiness, her unwavering dedication, and her deep understanding of Kōsaku’s personality, which she uses both to support and to challenge him.
