Daigoro Banjo, hero name Lariat, served as the fifth user of the One For All Quirk. The fourth user, Hikage Shinomori, sought him out due to his reputation as one of the few heroes actively combating societal disorder caused by All For One's forces. Physically imposing, Daigoro possessed a large, muscular build with a wide frame. His appearance featured a square jaw, small dull blue eyes, and a lack of eyebrows. He was bald and maintained a very short beard. His distinctive hero costume consisted of dark leather garments, golden stylish goggles, and a bandolier. The leather jacket included yellow shoulder pads and was typically worn open without a shirt, exposing his muscular torso. Personality-wise, Daigoro exhibited an energetic and "super funky" demeanor, contrasting with the more reserved dispositions of other One For All users. He expressed pride in his inherited Quirk, calling it "top grade." His interactions included teasing Hikage Shinomori about his reclusive tendencies and maintaining a senior-junior dynamic with his successor, En. Daigoro demonstrated extraordinary willpower, successfully resisting All For One's attempts to steal One For All on two separate occasions. As One For All's wielder, Daigoro battled All For One's forces. Recognizing the Quirk's danger, he attempted to dissuade the young hero En from involvement, though En persisted in offering assistance. During a confrontation with All For One, Daigoro proved unable to defeat the villain. All For One attempted to forcibly reclaim One For All but failed due to Daigoro's resistance. Seizing the confusion, Daigoro transferred One For All to En, instructed him to flee with the declaration "your turn," and was immediately killed by All For One. Daigoro possessed two Quirks. His original ability, Blackwhip, generated tendrils of black energy from his arms, effective for grappling and enhancing mobility. He also wielded One For All, a transferable Quirk granting superhuman physical enhancements through accumulated power stockpiling, resulting in exceptional strength, speed, agility, and durability. Utilizing One For All effectively required significant muscular development to withstand its physical demands. Following his death, Daigoro's consciousness persisted as a vestige within One For All's core. He later appeared to the ninth user, Izuku Midoriya, during critical moments. In the Joint Training Arc, his vestige lectured Izuku on focus and control when Blackwhip manifested uncontrollably, providing instrumental guidance for managing this inherited ability. Daigoro's vestige also participated in collective resistance against All For One's attempts to seize One For All from within the vestige realm during later conflicts. Daigoro's legacy endured through his successors. His decision to transfer One For All to En enabled the Quirk's continued journey to Izuku Midoriya. The manifestation of Blackwhip within Izuku represented Daigoro's direct contribution to contemporary heroics. His vestige remained accessible within One For All's collective consciousness for guidance during subsequent wielders' challenges.
