Description
Kon is a shikigami, a type of spirit servant, who appears as a small silver-fox spirit with white hair, blue eyes, fox ears, and a tail, dressed in miko-like clothing and carrying a wakizashi. She belongs to the rare Gohou type, meaning she possesses independent thought and can act on her own accord. She has been with Harutora Tsuchimikado ever since he became Natsume Tsuchimikado's shikigami, but because Harutora initially had low spiritual power and awareness, he could not see or hear her.
Her true identity is Hishamaru, one of the two legendary familiars of Yakou Tsuchimikado, who vanished after Yakou's death. Her powers and memories were locked away by five seals: the first hides both itself and the other seals, the second seals her personality, the third seals her appearance, the fourth seals her power, and the fifth seals her memory. Shortly before Harutora awakens as Yakou, Kon deliberately breaks all five seals, restoring her true power and transforming into Hishamaru.
As Kon, she has a playful, mischievous nature and often provides lighthearted moments. She is fiercely loyal and protective of her master, sometimes showing jealousy when Harutora interacts with other girls. In her Hishamaru form she becomes more mature and serious, yet her unwavering devotion to her master remains constant.
