TV-Series
Description
Master, whose given name is Gousetsu, is the current head of the Vampire Hunters Guild, though he primarily spends his time running a bar called Shin Yokohama High Ball, which also serves as the guild's base of operations. He is a tall, older human man with an impressive build, lightly tanned fair skin, perpetually closed dark eyes, thick brows, and smooth jet-black hair with a light widow's peak, kept neatly tied back. He also sports a well-groomed mustache. His typical attire consists of a white dress shirt with a black bowtie, a black vest, a black apron over black trousers, and brown leather loafers. Master was born on January 30 and stands approximately 187 centimeters tall.

Master has a kind and gentle personality, known for being calm and approachable when tending the bar. However, he possesses a fierce and merciless side when it comes to protecting his daughter, Koyuki, and anyone who threatens her can expect his full wrath. He is also noted for being skilled at cheating in card games and mahjong, and he has a refined singing ability, placing high on the series' singing chart. When subjected to a beam attack from the vampire Ydan, Master openly and casually described a series of things that were entirely censored in both the manga and anime, hinting at an unexpectedly high tolerance for lewd topics.

Master was once an active S-rank vampire hunter, earning the alias Gousetsu the Stake. He has since retired from active field work, but he still oversees the guild and provides support to its members, including the main protagonist Ronaldo. His weapons of choice are a large war-pickaxe and iron stakes, and he remains a formidable combatant despite his age. His motivations center on maintaining order among hunters and ensuring the safety of his family, especially his daughter. He has a wife and a daughter named Koyuki, who inherits his gentle disposition but has a disturbingly poor sense of cooking. Master's relationship with his daughter is protective and affectionate, and he treats the other guild members with paternal care, though he does not hesitate to discipline them if necessary.

Throughout the series, Master remains a stable and authoritative figure in the chaotic world of vampire hunting. He does not undergo major personal transformation; instead, he serves as a grounded anchor for the other characters, offering guidance, a place to gather, and occasional comedic moments. His notable abilities include high-level combat skills from his hunter days, proficiency with his pickaxe and stakes, and a surprising talent for cheating at games. He also possesses a remarkable composure that allows him to discuss otherwise unspeakable topics without embarrassment.
