Description
Muni bears the designation Angel of Destruction and holds the rank of special-rank angel. She was one of thirteen angels tasked with selecting a human candidate for the succession process to become the next God. Her chosen candidate was Gaku Yoneda, a Tokyo University professor emeritus renowned for winning Nobel Prizes in both Physics and Literature.
Muni presents a distinctive appearance among angels. While retaining a humanoid form, her features are visibly decayed and deteriorated. Her design incorporates at least six wings adorning her head, some obscuring her eyes, plus an additional two to four wings located on her upper body and waist.
Muni first encountered Yoneda during his suicide attempt. Overwhelmed by the relentless demands stemming from his accolades—endless public appearances, lectures, and media obligations—Yoneda felt incapable of advancing his research or contributing to humanity. Consuming numerous pills, he sought to discover what lay beyond death. As he prepared to end his life, Muni manifested before him. Yoneda initially dismissed her as a hallucination born of near-death euphoria, but proceeded to engage in an extended dialogue with her. This conversation spanned approximately two months, coinciding with the God selection process's progression.
Muni's core motivation springs from profound disillusionment with the celestial realm. She believes the existing heavenly order, governed by a "false God" and populated by "greedy and false angels," is fundamentally flawed. Consequently, she advocates for the complete eradication of this realm, viewing its destruction as necessary. She presented Yoneda with the opportunity to become God, framing it as his path to uncover "the truth about everything," leveraging his desire for ultimate knowledge.
As a special-rank angel, Muni granted Yoneda the full suite of abilities inherent to this rank: wings enabling flight, a red arrow capable of compelling profound love and obedience in any target it strikes for 33 days, and a white arrow that inflicts instant, painless death.
