Once a special-rank angel, she was demoted to first-rank status by the angel Revel for excessively flaunting her knowledge. Her appearance features white hair with short bangs, green eyes, a monocle on her left eye, and a light teal halo; golden clips adorn her hair while wings flow downward from her waist like a skirt.

She selects Nanato Mukaido, a terminally ill apparel company planner, as her candidate in the competition to become the next deity. Baret is kind and soft-spoken, though her know-it-all tendencies paradoxically undermined her standing. She remains dedicated to sharing heavenly knowledge and celestial rules with other God candidates, but only if her own candidate, Nanato, desires it.

Throughout the narrative, Baret supports Nanato as he allies with other candidates against the antagonist Metropoliman. Her primary role involves providing guidance drawn from her vast repository of knowledge, without significant personal growth or agency beyond supporting her candidate. Following the God selection process, she vanishes alongside other angels when the world's memories of the event are erased.
