Aoyu is a ritual dancer for her island village, performing ceremonial duties with her partner, Yana. She has dark hair and dark eyes, typically adorning a light-colored kimono and sandals. Her personality shows respect toward visitors who aid the islanders, yet apathy toward those who do not offer assistance.

During Yuusuke Yotsuya's mission on the island, Aoyu develops romantic feelings for him. This leads to her confessing her love, where she expresses a desire to retire from her role as a ritual dancer in order to marry him.
