Description
Kanade Otoha is the older brother of Mao Otoha and a recent graduate of Seirei Private High School, where he held the position of student council president. He is between 17 and 18 years old. Kanade places considerable trust in his student council vice president and junior, Kyōko Umekoji, actively supporting her ideas and encouraging her to succeed him as president after his graduation.
Shiori Motoya, Mao's childhood friend, frequently stayed at the Otoha household and shares a familiar bond with Kanade. Due to this closeness, Shiori affectionately addresses him as "Kanade-onīchan" (奏お兄ちゃん).
A dedicated fan of the top idol Hana, Kanade experiences visible shock upon learning the publicly revealed news that his sister Mao has assumed the Hana identity following Meisa Hinata's departure, having been previously unaware of Mao's secret role.
His name reflects thematic elements: "Otoha" (音羽) combines "oto" (音, sound) and "ha" (羽, feather), while "Kanade" (奏) means "to play (music)".
