Description
Harue Kudoh is introduced as a rival kogal and a significant antagonist within the Super GALS! narrative. She operates as a companion to another rival, Mami Honda, and is depicted as being the more dangerous of the two, presenting a greater threat to the central characters. Her antagonistic role is deeply rooted in events preceding the main timeline. Harue was formerly a member of a gang named Eagle, which was a rival to a different gang called Resistance. Notably, Miyu, one of the primary characters, was the leader of Resistance during that time. This prior gang conflict fuels Harue’s primary motivation, which is a desire for revenge against Miyu.

Her role in the story primarily involves targeting Miyu to settle this old grudge. To achieve her revenge, Harue resorts to underhanded and psychological tactics rather than direct confrontation. She sends threatening text messages to Miyu’s phone, warning that she will expose Miyu’s history as a former delinquent. Following through on this threat, Harue uses a school computer class to send a mass email to the entire school. This email contains a detailed list detailing Miyu’s past misdeeds, effectively spreading the gossip and causing significant social damage to Miyu’s reputation. This act is the central conflict that Harue engineers. Her key relationship in the series is with Mami Honda, as they are friends and allies in their rivalry against Ran and her friends. Her most significant dynamic, however, is the adversarial one with Miyu, which is driven by their history as leaders of opposing gangs.

In terms of character development, Harue’s arc is notably abrupt and lacks extensive complexity. After being confronted directly by Ran and even by her own ally Mami, Harue immediately apologizes for her actions. Her change of heart is swift, and the conflict she started is resolved just as quickly, with the narrative not delving into the lasting consequences of the rumors she spread at school. There are no notable abilities attributed to her, such as fighting skills, and her threat level comes from her willingness to use social sabotage and her knowledge of Miyu’s past rather than any physical prowess. Her background as a gang leader establishes her as a figure capable of organizing others, but this is not a skill she actively uses during her primary appearance.
