Description
Mamejirō is a small demon from the Eastern District of the Demon World in the series Blood Lad. He has the appearance of a ferret or weasel‑like creature with three eyes and a coloration reminiscent of a panda. He is a rare beast with high magical properties and the ability to speak. Mamejirō is an outgoing and cheerful demon who enjoys interacting with others. He serves as the interpreter for the silent demon Satie, who cannot speak on her own; he translates her intentions and communicates for her. His primary motivation is to support Satie and fulfill his role as her companion and voice. Mamejirō is almost always seen at Satie’s side, and his magical abilities are largely dependent on being near her. Together, they can combine their power. Mamejirō possesses a special ability known as the Eagle Eye, a form of clairvoyance that allows him to see several kilometers into the distance. Like Satie, he also has a third‑eye ability that lets him look into a person’s soul, which he uses to determine whether a demon is safe to leave the Demon World. Despite his small size, he is a capable and reliable partner. He has an older brother named Mametarou. Within the story, Mamejirō appears as a supporting character who aids the main cast with his observational skills and his bond with Satie. He undergoes no major personal development, but his consistent loyalty and cheerful disposition make him a steady presence throughout the events of the series.
