Description
Esidisi, also known as ACDC, is a major antagonist from the second part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. He is a member of the Pillar Men, an ancient, superhuman race that has existed for over ten thousand years. In the distant past, Esidisi was one of the few members of his race who supported Kars's radical and deadly ambition to evolve into the ultimate being. After Kars slaughtered the rest of their tribe who opposed him, Esidisi became his most trusted companion and right-hand man, joining him on a millennia-long journey to find the Super Aja, a perfect red stone capable of enhancing the Stone Mask to grant them absolute power and immunity to the sun.

In terms of personality, Esidisi is a complex blend of intense emotion and ruthless cunning. He is deeply loyal to his comrade Kars, sharing a bond that has lasted for over ten thousand years. However, he is also noted for his volatile and dramatic temperament. Unlike the more stoic Kars or the honor-bound Wamuu, Esidisi has a fiery and急躁 (impatient) nature. When his emotions reach a boiling point—often from anger, shock, or frustration—he has a unique coping mechanism: he releases the pressure through an overwhelming and theatrical outburst of crying. This sudden, ear-piercing wail is a calculated method to instantly calm himself down, allowing him to return to a state of cold, analytical focus.

Despite his monstrous nature, Esidisi is a master strategist with a high level of battle intelligence. He claims to have read The Art of War by Sun Tzu, and firmly believes that a battle's outcome is decided before it even begins. This philosophy makes him a pioneer of tactical combat, as he relies on elaborate schemes, predictions of his opponent's moves, and psychological warfare rather than just brute force. He is even able to turn protagonist Joseph Joestar's signature "Your next line is..." prediction trick against him.

Esidisi's primary motivation is to serve Kars's goal of overcoming the Pillar Men's only weakness: sunlight. He is utterly dedicated to this cause, willing to sacrifice his pride, his body, and ultimately his life to ensure his master's success. This unwavering conviction defines his role in the story. After awakening from a two-thousand-year slumber, he is sent to infiltrate the Venetian island of the Ripple master, Lisa Lisa, to secure the Super Aja. His key relationships are with his fellow Pillar Men: Kars, whom he serves with fanatical loyalty, and Wamuu, whom they raised from infancy and who fights alongside them.

His primary adversary is the protagonist, Joseph Joestar. Their confrontation is not just a physical brawl but a fierce battle of wits, each trying to outsmart the other. During this fight, Esidisi demonstrates his most notable abilities. As a Pillar Man, he possesses immense strength, rapid regeneration, and the power to manipulate his body at will, such as controlling his veins like whips. His signature technique is Heat Mode, the ability to raise the temperature of his blood to an astounding 500 degrees Celsius. This allows him to unleash boiling blood through his veins to slice and burn his foes in a technique called the Erratic Blaze King. When his hand is severed, he simply replaces it by grafting the arm of his victim, Loggins, onto his own body and melding it seamlessly.

Esidisi undergoes a dramatic character development through his defeat. After being outsmarted by Joseph and having his body completely destroyed by an overdrive of Ripple energy, he refuses to die. Driven by sheer tenacity, his disembodied brain survives and latches onto Joseph's back. He then infiltrates Lisa Lisa's home and possesses the body of the innocent maid, Suzi Q. In this helpless state, his motivation shifts from honorable combat to a desperate, final mission. He steals the Super Aja and mails it to Kars, then attempts to detonate Suzi Q's body to kill his enemies. This act of sacrificing his own pride and remaining existence for his companion's dream earns him a final moment of respect from Joseph. He is ultimately vanquished when Joseph and Caesar use opposing positive and negative Ripple energies to force him out of Suzi Q, leaving his exposed brain to be destroyed by the morning sun.
