Description
Kirito is the real-world name of Kazuto Kirigaya, the protagonist of the story who is known by his in-game username. He is a teenage boy with black hair and black eyes, a slender build, and fine facial features that have been described as somewhat feminine. His age progresses throughout the narrative, beginning at fourteen at the start of the Sword Art Online death game and reaching seventeen in later story arcs.
As a character, Kirito is a dedicated and highly skilled gamer with exceptional reaction speed and observational abilities. His aptitude for virtual reality is so profound that the creator of Sword Art Online considered him to be the strongest player.
