Description
Khamsin Nbh'w is a Flame Haze contracted to the Crimson Lord known as Behemoth, the Steadfast Sharp Peak. Among the Flame Haze, he is considered one of the oldest in history, having lived for thousands of years. Despite his immense age, Khamsin bears the physical appearance of a young boy, roughly ten years old, a consequence of having entered into his contract at a very early age. His youthful looks, combined with his ancient experience, create a unique and somewhat paradoxical presence.

Khamsin holds the official title of Mobilizer of Ceremonial Equipment, but his reputation has earned him a far more intimidating nickname from both his allies and enemies: the Demolisher. This moniker comes from the wide-scale destruction that often results from his powerful abilities. Unlike many of his kind who primarily hunt Crimson Denizens, Khamsin operates as a Tuner. His primary mission is not combat, but rather to dispel the distortions in the fabric of the world that are caused by battles between Flame Haze and Denizens. In his role, he is calm, mature, and focused solely on fulfilling his duty, a trait he shares with his contracted partner, Behemoth.

In the final season, Khamsin takes on a significantly more prominent role. He arrives in Misaki City at the request of Sophie Sawallisch to assist Wilhelmina Carmel. Together, they work to counter the plans of the Bal Masqué and their leader, the Snake of the Festival, who seeks to create a new realm called Xanadu. Khamsin joins Shana and Wilhelmina in their efforts to breach the flying fortress of Seireiden to rescue Yūji Sakai. He uses his destructive power to wreak havoc inside the fortress, helping to reveal the enemy's hidden base. Later, as Shana proceeds to confront Yūji, Khamsin, alongside Wilhelmina and Rebecca Reed, stays behind to fight the powerful Denizen Sabrac, sustaining grave injuries in the process.

Khamsin shares a relationship of deep mutual respect with his Crimson Lord, Behemoth, whose vessel is a bracelet he wears on his wrist. After millennia of partnership, the two act with complete trust and understanding. Another significant relationship develops with the human girl Kazumi Yoshida. Initially intimidated by his overwhelming presence, Kazumi eventually warms to him, and the two elders develop a fond concern for her. A symbol of their friendship is a straw hat that Kazumi buys for Khamsin, which he wears proudly for the rest of his journey.

Ultimately, Khamsin meets his end after the brutal battle with Sabrac. Before the final conclusion of the conflict, he succumbs to his wounds. In his final moments, he is surrounded by his comrades, including Wilhelmina, Margery Daw, Shana, and Kazumi. He bids them a heartfelt farewell, expressing regret only for losing the treasured straw hat. His final words are for Behemoth, telling his partner that he was the best, a sentiment that his ancient companion deeply appreciates.

Khamsin's power is formidable and centered on the manipulation of stone. His most notable ability is the creation and control of large, stone golem-like entities. He can also generate a stone armor to cloak himself. While incredibly powerful, his attacks are famous for their destructive scale rather than pinpoint accuracy, a trait that reinforces his Demolisher nickname. His position as a Tuner is a unique skill, allowing him to sense and repair the distortions in the world that serve as a battlefield for the Crimson Denizens and Flame Haze.
