Juchi emerges in the series' second season within the Chrysanthemum Tower storyline. He is discovered cooking in the kitchen of the Chrysanthemum Tower, the location of Mao's birth, despite the tower's expected closure for unknown reasons. He introduces himself as Juchi.

Physically, Juchi is a teenage male possessing black eyes and shoulder-length black hair. His features include twin ahoge, freckles, and accessories comprising a scarf and wristbands. His personality reveals a flirtatious side when he openly expresses attraction towards Mei Li during their encounter, an attention that stirs unease in Mao. Juchi also displays a competitive and antagonistic streak, deliberately provoking Mao by exploiting Mao's obliviousness to romantic feelings. He leverages this perceived weakness to goad Mao into a cooking confrontation, aiming to crush Mao's spirit through psychological manipulation during their rivalry.
