Description
Abe no Seimei appears in Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan: Demon Capital as the primary antagonist and founder of the Gokadoin House. He is the son of Hagoromo-Gitsune, the powerful nine-tailed fox spirit, and the legendary onmyouji of the Heian era.
In appearance, Seimei resembles his descendants Haruaki and Amaaki, distinguished by his traditional eboshi hat and a purple and white kariginu robe. He often wears a sly expression with narrowed eyes and shows no signs of aging over the centuries. After his rebirth, he takes on a different form known as Nue, with long wavy blonde hair, yellow eyes with black sclera, and a notably muscular build.
Seimei presents himself as friendly, courteous, and warm toward others regardless of how they feel about him. However, this outward demeanor masks a deeply manipulative and sadistic nature. He is secretive about his plans and has no hesitation in using others to achieve his goals, even abandoning his own mother by sending her to hell when she becomes an obstacle. He displays a cruel streak, such as deliberately pouring water on Suzaku knowing his aversion to it due to his fire affinity.
Originally, Seimei believed that humans and youkai were capable of coexisting peacefully, and his desire for eternal life stemmed from wanting to create a perfect world for both. However, after court officials murdered his mother the Shinoda Fox, believing that eating her liver would grant eternal youth, Seimei slaughtered all those present and carried her body away. This event transformed his goal from coexistence to a desire for youkai to rule over humans to maintain what he considers proper order. He now seeks to purify the world and restore order that he believes humans and ayakashi have sullied.
As the founder of the Gokadoin House, Seimei serves as the main antagonist of the series. He orchestrates the use of Yamabuki Otome as a new vessel for Hagoromo-Gitsune, though this is ultimately to advance his own program rather than for his mother's benefit. After being reborn from the Nuega-Ike, he calls all youkai to follow him, declaring that he will rebuild the dirty Kyoto. When his body begins to deteriorate from being unsuited to the living world, he returns to hell with his loyal followers, later reappearing after nearly a year to continue his plans.

He sealed Shutendouji a thousand years ago when she appeared in Kyoto.

He possesses an anti-youkai ability that allows him to drain a youkai's spirit energy, rendering them incredibly weak, with Shutendouji being a notable exception who retained her full strength against him.
