TV-Series
Description
Moe Yabasawa is a supporting character from the Sket Dance series, a student at Kaimei High School and a member of the cheerleading club. She is depicted as a heavyset girl with black shoulder-length hair, often shown wearing braids and glasses. Moe possesses an extraordinarily high level of self-confidence regarding her own appearance and her popularity with boys, a confidence that is not reflected in reality and often makes her come across as arrogant. She has a distinctive way of speaking, frequently ending her sentences with the verbal tic "yabas" and is often drawn with her mouth forming a shape resembling the number 3. Her family runs a local bookstore, and she owns a pet monkey named Yeti. Moe made her debut in the second chapter of the manga and the second episode of the anime. Within the story, she serves as a recurring background character whose overinflated self-image provides a recurring source of comedy, interacting with the main Sket-dan members and other students through the school's club activities and everyday life. Her role highlights her unwavering belief in her own appeal, and she does not undergo significant personal development over the course of the series, remaining consistently defined by her comedic lack of self-awareness and her firm attachment to her own unique persona.
