TV-Series
Description
Kikuno Asahina, also known by her nickname Daisy, serves as the secretary of the student council at Kaimei High School. She is a student who initially appears as a sophomore and later progresses to her junior year. Physically, she has black hair that reaches her mid-back when worn down, though she typically styles it in a high ponytail. She is almost always seen wearing glasses, yet she seems to have no difficulty seeing without them, suggesting they may be more of a personal style choice than a necessity. Her birthday is February 15.

Daisy is described by her classmate Switch as the embodiment of being cool and calm. She maintains a very intimidating and serious demeanor, often using facial expressions that convey coldness or anger even when she is feeling other emotions like embarrassment or sadness. Her speech is notably harsh and direct; she frequently speaks in acronyms or blunt phrases, and is known to insult others on purpose with colorful expressions. Beneath this composed exterior, she has a very nervous and easily irritated disposition. She can become upset over trivial matters and, when angered, she does not shout but instead glares with such intensity that it unnerves those around her. A peculiar quirk of hers is a habit of destroying or damaging objects that irritate her, often requiring other student council members to physically restrain her. To console herself when she fails or becomes frustrated, she will rub and mutter into her collection of stuffed animals, which she seems to favor greatly. She dislikes otaku.

Kikuno's primary motivation is a deep-seated reluctance to be a burden on others. She blames herself for problems and hates seeing people get hurt because of her, which leads her to refuse assistance even when she clearly needs it. This creates significant internal conflict and unwanted trouble for her. She also does not handle failure or setbacks very well, which contributes to her reliance on stuffed animals for comfort. Despite her harsh personality, she is a diligent and capable secretary who carries out her student council duties effectively.

In the story, her role is primarily as a member of the student council, often interacting with the Sket Dan, a help service club. She participates in various council operations, such as going undercover to catch blackmailers and overseeing the approval of new clubs, like the Games Club, which she ultimately allows to be formed after multiple rejections. She is also shown to be a skilled competitor, as seen during a gaming tournament where she faced off against Switch in a shooting game, demonstrating notable ambidexterity.

Her key relationships are primarily within the student council. She has a significant dynamic with Sasuke Tsubaki. Initially, the two did not get along, as they argued over their differing methods, with Daisy disapproving of Tsubaki's tendency to solve problems with his fists. This friction came to a head during a story arc where Daisy was harassed by delinquents. Refusing to ask for help for fear of causing trouble for others, she tried to handle the situation alone. After Tsubaki, with assistance from the Sket Dan, resolved the matter, she began to trust him more. A turning point occurs when she asks Tsubaki for help opening a stubborn jar lid, surprising the rest of the student council. From that point on, she becomes more willing to occasionally accept his assistance. Another notable relationship is with the student council president, Soujirou Agata, whom she follows obediently and will do whatever he tells her to do, from participating in tournaments to going undercover.

Kikuno undergoes notable character development centered on her inability to ask for help. Her refusal to rely on others, born from a fear of being a burden, is a significant flaw that leads to dangerous situations. The arc involving the delinquents forces her to confront this issue. By accepting Tsubaki's help and later reciprocating by sharing candy with the council, she shows a gradual shift towards opening up and trusting her colleagues, learning that accepting support does not make her a burden.

Kikuno possesses a few notable abilities. Her most famous skill is her eye-poking attack. Due to excessive practice, she has developed notably fast jabs that give a victim very little time to react or dodge, which she uses when angry, irritated, or embarrassed. She also has good aim and attacks without hesitation, often targeting the eyes of her opponents. Despite wearing glasses, her eyesight appears to be perfectly fine on its own. She has also demonstrated ambidexterity, the ability to use both hands with equal skill, a fact she used to her advantage in a competitive shooting match.
