TV-Series
Description
Nene Omori is a member of the Red Tail gang and originally serves as the second-in-command to its leader, Aoi Kunieda. She is a second-year student at Ishiyama High School, standing 162 centimeters tall with a birthday on January 14. Her appearance is notable for her wavy red hair, which she always keeps tied in a ponytail, and a small mole located beneath her left eye. She typically wears the standard school uniform with a long skirt and a coat, and she carries chains as her weapon of choice, which she uses skillfully to gain an advantage against physically stronger opponents.
Personality-wise, Nene is far more aggressive and hot-tempered than her permissive leader. She is quick to resort to violence to resolve problems and often openly disagrees with Aoi’s decisions, occasionally even disobeying her. Despite this friction, she remains deeply loyal to Aoi and the Red Tails. Her motivation stems from a strong sense of duty to the group and a desire to protect its reputation. She comes from a troubled family background, with a father who is a deadbeat and a mother who is strict and favors her younger sister, which contributes to her delinquent behavior and tough exterior.
Within the story, Nene’s primary role is as a key member of the Red Tails and later as their fourth leader. When Aoi decides to temporarily leave the gang and relinquish leadership, Nene vehemently opposes the decision but ultimately accepts the position. She proves herself capable, gaining the trust and confidence of the other members through her assertive and effective leadership. Her development is marked by her transition from a loyal but often rebellious subordinate into a reliable leader who can command the group in Aoi’s absence. When Aoi eventually returns, Nene happily cedes the leadership back to her.
Nene’s key relationship is with Aoi Kunieda, whom she respects despite their frequent clashes. She is also part of the broader cast of delinquents at Ishiyama, but she maintains a focused allegiance to the Red Tails rather than the larger Tōhōshinki group. Her abilities are centered on combat, particularly her proficient use of chains as both a defensive and offensive weapon, allowing her to hold her own against stronger male fighters.
