Description
Miyabi Kannazuki is a third-year Pandora enrolled at West Genetics, the military academy that trains female warriors known as Pandoras to fight against extraterrestrial threats called Novas. She holds the fifteenth rank in her class and is known around the academy for her seductive and manipulative nature. Miyabi calls herself the Liberator of Chastity, a self-given title that reflects her tendency to pursue and seduce the youngest and most handsome male Limiters at the school. Behind her back, however, she is derogatorily referred to as the Limiter Eater, a nickname earned because she regularly takes on new Limiters, performs the Baptism ritual with them to gain their loyalty, and later reclaims her stigmata tissue when she grows bored, effectively discarding them. At any given time, she has three Limiters under her service, and those three are capable of working together to generate a combined Freezing field that is more powerful than what a single Limiter could produce.
Miyabi has short blue hair and brown eyes. Her physical measurements are listed as 85-54-84, and she stands 160 centimeters tall, weighing 50 kilograms. Her blood type is A, and her hobby is described as enjoying time with a lot of "me," indicating a self-centered disposition. Her favorite food is mamekan, a Japanese dessert made of beans in agar, and her weak point when touched is her foot finger.
Her personality is marked by jealousy and envy toward Satellizer el Bridget, the powerful first-year Pandora known as the Untouchable Queen. Miyabi resents Satellizer's natural strength and the attention she receives, so she sets out to teach her a lesson about respecting upperclassmen. This drive stems from her own insecurity: she is acutely aware that Satellizer outranks her in potential and reputation despite being two years her junior. Miyabi's confrontation with Satellizer escalates when she tries to force a Baptism on Kazuya Aoi, the male Limiter who is bonded to Satellizer. Miyabi sees Kazuya as a desirable prize because of his youth and his unusually potent Freezing ability, and she attempts to claim him for herself. Her plan fails when Satellizer intervenes. In the ensuing battle, Miyabi initially gains the upper hand with the help of her three Limiters, who immobilize Satellizer and Kazuya with their combined Freezing. However, Kazuya's own Freezing ability proves strong enough to neutralize their combined field, which allows Satellizer to break free and brutally defeat Miyabi and her Limiters.
In terms of fighting style, Miyabi is heavily dependent on her Limiters. She relies on their Freezing abilities to lock down opponents, and she complements this with her own Pandora combat skills. During her first year at West Genetics, which is documented in the side story Freezing Zero, she was considered a talented Pandora with the third highest compatibility in her class and finished in third place after her first Carnival, the battle royale event that determines student rankings. These early achievements suggest that she was once a promising fighter, but over time she has come to lean more on manipulation and numerical advantage than on pure skill.
Miyabi's role in the main story is primarily that of an antagonist and a obstacle for Satellizer and Kazuya during their early days at the academy. She serves as a representative of the hazing and hierarchical bullying that upperclassmen inflict on newcomers, and her defeat marks an important early victory for Satellizer, establishing her refusal to submit to intimidation. After that confrontation, Miyabi's presence in the story diminishes significantly, and she does not undergo any notable character development or redemption. She remains a minor supporting character whose actions are driven by spite, vanity, and a desire for social dominance within the academy's rigid ranking system.
