Description
Leone Dorato Shiki, better known as the Golden Lion, is a legendary pirate from the era of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger. He was once a member of the Rocks Pirates and later became the captain of his own Golden Lion Pirates. Shiki is infamous for being the first prisoner to successfully escape from Impel Down, the marine's maximum-security prison, an escape that cost him both of his legs; he subsequently replaced them with swords, allowing him to stand and fight using them as prosthetic limbs. He bears a distinctive appearance, with long blonde mane-like hair, yellow traditional Japanese-style clothing, and a ship's steering wheel lodged in his head from his earlier battle with Roger.
Shiki's personality is defined by immense ambition and a domineering desire for conquest. He believes that he and Roger could have ruled the world together and remains deeply bitter over his rival's legacy. He values power above all else and respects those who possess it, whether they are enemies or allies. This respect, however, does not prevent him from acting ruthlessly to achieve his goals. He is calculating and patient, spending twenty years in hiding after his escape from Impel Down to formulate a plan that would allow him to exact revenge on the World Government and assert his dominance over the world.
His primary motivation in the film One Piece Film Strong World is to conquer the East Blue as the first step toward toppling the World Government.
