Description
Fuuka Kikuchi is a reserved high school student distinguished by her short black hair and light yellowish eyes. Her constant presence with books reflects a deep aspiration to become a novelist, driving her to study human motivations and formative experiences. Through Fumiya Tomozaki's eyes, she occasionally appears with silver hair, evoking an angelic or fairy-like aura.

Her introspective and empathetic nature leads her to observe others carefully before interaction. With high emotional intuition, she frequently senses unspoken feelings or needs. This aligns with INFJ personality traits, while her prioritization of others' well-being—sometimes neglecting her own comfort—reflects Enneagram Type 2 tendencies. Though most comfortable in quiet spaces like libraries, key relationships gradually draw her out of her shell.

She shares her family life with a younger brother, Riku Kikuchi, whose teasing often flusters her. Fuuka’s initial bond with Tomozaki stems from a misunderstanding: she believes he admires author Michael Andi (a reference to Michael Ende). When Tomozaki clarifies he hasn’t read Andi’s works, her disappointment shifts into appreciation for his willingness to explore them, forging trust through shared literary interest.

Within the narrative, Fuuka’s character evolves significantly through her connection with Tomozaki. Aoi Hinami identifies her as Tomozaki’s ideal romantic prospect, engineering scenarios to bring them closer. Their relationship progresses from friendship to romance, marked by moments like their encounter at a forest-themed restaurant where Fuuka works—her visible surprise at seeing Tomozaki with Hinami, and later, her acknowledgment of mutual feelings, culminating in them becoming a couple.

Her name carries symbolism: "Fuuka" blends the characters for wind (風) and fragrance (香), while "Kikuchi" translates to chrysanthemum pond (菊池).
