Description
Panther Zora is the main antagonist of the anime Cutey Honey Flash and the supreme leader of the criminal organization Panther Claw. In this version of the story she is not an ordinary villain but a supernatural being, described as an ancient primordial evil and the personification of human greed. Rather than appearing as a conventional human enemy, she presides over Panther Claw from behind the scenes in the form of a stone figure, and her overall appearance in this series is more demonic and inhuman than in other incarnations of the character. When depicted in human terms, she is an adult woman with long red hair that reaches past her hips and black eyes.

Her personality is defined by absolute ruthlessness and an insatiable hunger for power. As the living embodiment of greed, she desires the rarest and most valuable things in the world and will stop at nothing to obtain them. In this series, her primary goal involves seizing the power possessed by the heroine Honey Kisaragi, especially the Atmospheric Element Condenser, the device that allows Honey to transform and to create and fix matter from the air. She is cold, calculating, and manipulative, preferring to direct the affairs of her organization through trusted subordinates rather than acting directly on the front lines.

Her role in the story is that of the ultimate authority within Panther Claw, ruling over the organization while leaving the execution of its schemes to others. She spends much of the series conferring with Sister Jill about operations and coordinating the group's activities. She is also linked to the Twilight Prince, another leader within Panther Claw who jealously seeks to rise above Sister Jill. Earlier in the series' backstory, she and the prince took in the girl Seira after the destruction of the incubation project, and Panther Zora poisoned Seira's heart, filling it with darkness. That corruption shapes much of the later conflict, as the darkness in Seira's heart comes to create the minions used by Panther Claw.

As the series progresses, Panther Zora steps out of the shadows and becomes more directly involved in the battle against Honey. After Honey is lured into a trap by Iron Shadow, Zora demonstrates her power against her, and when Honey manages to defeat the Panther warriors, Zora only taunts her that this is not the last she will hear of her. In the later stages of the story, Honey confronts Panther Zora directly, and Zora acknowledges Honey's strength, complimenting her drive for vengeance. With the assistance of her friends, Cutie Honey ultimately succeeds in defeating Panther Zora before returning to Earth to deal with Sister Jill.

Her key relationships are centered on her subordinates and her enemies. Sister Jill serves as her second-in-command and most trusted operative, sometimes described as her younger sister or as a panther companion who can take human form, and Zora works closely with her throughout the series. The Twilight Prince is another figure who answers to her authority, though his personal ambitions create friction within the organization. Honey Kisaragi, in her heroic form of Cutie Honey, is her principal opponent and the only figure truly capable of challenging her power. Her connection to Seira is more indirect but deeply significant, since it is through Seira that Zora's poisonous influence spreads across the story.

Her notable abilities reflect her supernatural nature rather than physical combat alone. She is a god-like being able to oversee her organization from a distance while manifesting through her stone form, and she possesses considerable mystical power that she displays when she finally confronts Honey directly. She also has the ability to corrupt others, as demonstrated with Seira, whose poisoned heart later gives rise to the creatures that serve Panther Claw. Her greatest strength, however, lies in her authority and strategic control, which allow her to command the entire Panther Claw organization and exert her influence over nearly every major conflict in the series.
