Description
Yoshito Hanzaki serves as a B-rank Sniper in Arafune Squad. He presents as a light-skinned, short teenager with narrow black eyes and dark blonde hair, straight in the fringe but messy and shorter elsewhere. His uniform includes a jet black jacket featuring turquoise stripes along the raised collar, zipper, hem, and wrists, accented by white stripes on the collar and outer sleeves. Four white lines form two columns near the zipper, topped by a B-rank logo above the top left line. The outfit is completed with jet black pants, boots, and a backwards-worn black cap with a turquoise visor.

Personality-wise, Hanzaki exhibits a listless, low-energy demeanor, habitually emphasizing tiresome or negative aspects of situations—a trait developed from repeatedly tackling challenges beyond his abilities. Despite this outlook, he maintains diligent passion for sniper practice and actively hones his skills. He enjoys omurice, ice cream, naps, and games.

In combat, Hanzaki ranks among Border’s most skilled snipers. He demonstrates exceptional precision, hitting immobile targets from one kilometer away and sniping through narrow gaps in shields like Hyrein’s Alektor. Opponents strategically reinforce head protection against his renowned accuracy, which reliably targets the heads of moving adversaries. Ranked 4th in stealth and target acquisition training, he shows proficiency in covert movement. Though vulnerable at close range, he possesses quick reflexes, narrowly evading attacks from agents like Yūma Kuga by leveraging pre-battle analysis of combat logs. These reactions proved insufficient against Ranbanein’s assault. His standard triggers include the sniper rifle Egret and the radar-concealing Bagworm.

Background notes reveal inconsistencies: extra materials initially listed his age as 16, but the author clarified he was intended to be 17. A scrapped scene would have shown him texting "Don't be mean to the Snipers" to an unnamed recipient after a squad match. Contradictory information exists regarding his sister Minato’s age, alternately described as older or younger. His siblings’ names are confirmed as Takato, the older brother, and Minato. In a Border popularity poll, he ranked 17th in captain candidate rankings.
