TV-Series
Description
Lowel J. Grey is a young English aristocrat from a wealthy family. He first appears in the story when he travels to Australia, where he meets and falls in love with Georgie. His physical appearance is characterized by short blonde hair and blue eyes. He is described as a delicate young man, both in terms of his refined upbringing and his fragile health. His personality is marked by a gentle and romantic nature; he is deeply devoted to Georgie and is willing to leave everything behind to be with her. However, his role in the narrative is complicated by his fragile condition—he suffers from tuberculosis, a disease that requires an expensive operation for treatment. Because of this, he is unable to remain with Georgie, as the cost of his care leads her to step aside for the sake of his survival. In the anime adaptation, he eventually marries Elisa, a woman from a wealthy family who can afford his medical treatment. His relationship with Georgie is the central romantic thread of the series, but it is ultimately marked by separation and sacrifice. Throughout the story, he remains a symbol of Georgie's first love and a key motivation for her journey from Australia to London. He does not display any extraordinary abilities or skills; his significance lies in his emotional connection to the protagonist and the obstacles that prevent their union. His character undergoes little personal transformation within the anime, serving more as a catalyst for Georgie's own growth and decisions.
