Description
Akito and Agito Wanijima are two distinct personalities sharing a single body, with a third personality named Lind later emerging as well. Collectively, they hold the title of the Fang King, a ruler of the Bloody Road in the world of Air Treck (AT). The body they inhabit is that of a young boy, originally part of the Wind SWAT team where he was treated as a mere tool by his older brother, Kaito. He was eventually saved by the protagonist, Ikki, and subsequently became a founding member of the team Kogarasumaru.
The two primary personalities, Akito and Agito, are polar opposites, and they switch control of their shared body by moving an eyepatch from one eye to the other. Akito is the gentler, more innocent, and non-violent personality. He is timid and feminine in both appearance and behavior. Due to his pacifist nature, he became disgusted with the violence required of him as the Fang King and was unable to continue using ATs, which led to the creation of Agito. Akito is openly affectionate towards Ikki, to the point of frequently trying to kiss him or join him in the bath, much to Ikki's discomfort. Despite his sweet demeanor, it is hinted that Akito possesses a terrifying dark side when angered, one that even Agito finds frightening. Akito also serves as Agito's personal tuner, responsible for maintaining his AT and Regalia, though he is initially unable to draw out their full potential.
Agito, in stark contrast, is violent, bloodthirsty, and foul-mouthed, often described as a shark. He was born from Akito's psyche to shoulder the burden of battle and protect his other half. Agito is the dominant personality and the active combatant, wielding the power of the Fang King with a ruthless and arrogant attitude. While he acts aloof and uncaring towards his teammates, he develops a grudging respect for Ikki's strength and considers them comrades. His only true desire is to protect Akito, and he shows a subtle, tsundere-like affection for his tuner, Yayoi Nakayama, telling her to protect herself rather than rely on him. Agito is a tactical genius in combat, possessing the ability to copy moves after seeing them only once.
Later in the story, a third personality named Lind emerges, claiming to be the original persona from whom Akito and Agito were born. Lind is a Brain Charger, an individual with the abilities of a Gravity Child, and is far more powerful than the other two personalities. When Lind takes control, the body becomes more masculine and mature, and his eyes bear a unique cross-like pattern. Unlike the other two, Lind is ruthless and disdainful, referring to Akito and Agito as babies, though he has shown moments of compassion and a fierce protectiveness over Kaito. His existence reveals that the body is the son of Kaito and Gazelle, the first Thorn Queen, and that Lind inherited Gazelle's memories and abilities.
As the Fang King, the abilities of Akito and Agito are centered on the Fang Regalia. Their primary technique involves using the instantaneous acceleration and braking of their AT's wheels to vacuum and compress air, releasing it as a pressurized shockwave called a Fang. Agito typically uses four hooks dangling from straps on his legs to tear opponents apart. His signature moves include the Bloody Fang Ride Fall Leviathan, which he can even perform without the Regalia, and the more powerful Bloody Blade Fang. Akito, while refusing to fight, can lend his strength to Agito to significantly boost his power. When Lind lends half his strength, their combined power reaches a staggering level. Lind himself can perform techniques like Infinity Jail, creating a prison of fangs that can be imploded at will. The AT used by this body is named Sand Tiger, equipped with the Regalia core, Bloody Armor.
