Misuzu Sotomura is the younger sister of Hiroshi Sotomura, a friend of the protagonist Junpei Manaka. Misuzu installs herself as the vice-president and assistant director of the Film Studies Club, taking on a leadership role that reflects her organized and structured approach. Despite their constant bickering, after graduation both Misuzu and Kitaoji move to Kyoto and maintain their connection. In an extra chapter at the end of the manga, Misuzu falls in love with an aspiring manga artist named Uchiba and eventually lives with him. Her notable abilities include her organizational skills in running the club, her practical and critical thinking, and her knowledge of astronomy and film. Her development involves a gradual softening of her initial harsh judgments, particularly in recognizing Manaka's genuine efforts and in finding her own romantic path.
