TV-Series
Description
Kome Sawaguchi is a former member of the Japan Self-Defense Force who was transferred to the Terrestrial Administration Center, known as the TAC, due to her insubordinate behavior. Her aggressive combat style and volatile temperament earned her the nickname the Hurricane. At the start of the main story, she is twenty-two years old. She quickly becomes the TACs heavy weapons expert, bringing extensive military experience to the fight against the supernatural Aragami.

Kome presents a loud, brash, and fearless exterior, often clad in a bright pink jumpsuit that contrasts with her rough demeanor. She is deeply passionate about firearms and adheres to a bigger gun philosophy, treating her personal weapons with an almost obsessive protectiveness. Her personal motto is to keep shooting as long as she still has bullets. Despite her tough warrior persona, she is notably superstitious and dislikes bad omens. She also possesses a softer, vulnerable side that she rarely reveals, including a fondness for puppies and a hidden desire for affection and connection.

Her primary motivation is her dedication to destroying the Aragami, a role in which she can fully utilize her combat skills and firepower. She is fiercely loyal to her teammates and does not hesitate to put herself in danger to protect them. Over the course of the series, she forms strong bonds with her colleagues. She initially clashes with the protagonist Momiji Fujimiya, but they eventually develop a deep mutual trust and respect. She harbors romantic feelings for her associate Yoshiki Yaegashi and often acts as a matchmaker within the group. Her development sees her mature from a hot-headed soldier resentful of her dismissal from the SDF into a reliable and emotionally deeper member of the TAC.

In terms of abilities, Kome serves as the TACs primary heavy ordnance specialist, proficient with a wide array of firearms, rocket launchers, and other military hardware. She is also highly capable in close-quarters combat and possesses physical conditioning that approaches peak human levels. While her battle style relies heavily on overwhelming firepower rather than finesse, her courage, tactical experience, and raw power make her an indispensable asset in confronting the Aragami.
