TV-Series
Description
Caramel is a Sweets Spirit, a supernatural being from the Sweets Kingdom who forms a partnership with a human pâtissier to help that person reach their full potential in pastry-making. She is specifically partnered with Sennosuke Andou, one of the main human characters in the story. Her specialty, as her name suggests, is caramel. Among the Sweets Spirits who form Team Ichigo, Caramel is noted to be the eldest. Despite this seniority, her personality is marked by a level of immaturity and clumsiness that bears a strong resemblance to the series protagonist, Ichigo Amano. She also has a strong tendency to cry frequently. Her speech pattern is a recognizable trait, as she often ends her sentences with the polite copula desu.

Caramel is deeply loyal to her chosen human, Sennosuke Andou, whom she considers to be like a big brother. Their bond is central to her role in the story. In terms of abilities, Caramel possesses specific sweets magic. One of her notable powers is the ability to create pastry pictures, which are magical images that show how finished sweets will look. This ability is practically useful for planning and visualizing desserts. She is also able to communicate fluently with her human partner and others in Japanese, which is a common trait among Sweets Spirits. Outside of her magical skills, Caramel has some personal deficiencies; for instance, her fellow Sweets Spirit, Café, states that she has a terrible sense of direction. Her relationship with the other Sweets Spirits, including Café, Chocolat, Honey, and Vanilla, is positive, and they are all capable of cooperating to help their human partners improve their pastry-making.
