Description
The character known as Judge, or The Judge, is a figure of authority within the elven community in the anime Those Who Hunt Elves. He serves as the judge advocate of the Elves Association, a role that places him directly in opposition to the main protagonists. He is primarily featured in a significant arc where the protagonists are arrested and put on trial for their unconventional methods of searching for spell fragments, which have involved forcibly removing the clothing of numerous female elves.

Judge is characterized by his formal and adversarial stance toward the protagonists. His primary motivation is to uphold the laws and social order of the elven world, which the actions of the protagonists have frequently violated. This leads to his direct pursuit of them, including issuing a warrant for the arrest of the elf priestess Celcia for her role in assisting the human group. He is not a corrupt or villainous figure but rather an antagonist whose duty compels him to bring the disruptive protagonists to justice.

In his role as judge advocate, he is a central figure in the trial where numerous elven victims come to testify against Junpei, Airi, Ritsuko, and the tank Type 74. While many elves are hostile toward the group, it is the testimony of the elf Miria that speaks in their defense. Judge is the one who ultimately presides over the proceedings and delivers the sentence of deportation, ordering the protagonists to collect the remaining spell fragments and leave the elven world. His key relationships are almost entirely adversarial, being an antagonist to the main characters and an authority figure to the elven community he represents.

A notable ability demonstrated by Judge is the use of a MirrorMatch technique. He employs this magical power to create doppelgangers of the heroes that perfectly mirror their actions, making them incredibly difficult to defeat. The only way to dispel these copies is for the original fighters to stop fighting or be incapacitated. This ability is used strategically to weaken and arrest the protagonists, showcasing him as a formidable and intelligent opponent who uses magic creatively rather than relying on brute force.
