Description
Chotaro Otori is a second-year student at Hyotei Academy, standing 185 cm tall with a birthday on February 14. He plays for the tennis club as a regular member, specializing in doubles. His primary partner is Ryo Shishido; together they form the consistently undefeated "Silver Pair." Their partnership began when Otori selflessly offered his regular position to Shishido after seeing Shishido's dedication to regain his team spot, reflecting Otori's considerate nature.

Otori employs a serve-and-volley style. His signature technique is the "Scud Serve," a high-speed serve reaching approximately 200 km/h that secured his regular position, though it sometimes suffers control issues causing double faults. During the National Tournament quarterfinals against Seigaku's "Golden Pair," he unveiled the "Neo Scud Serve" and executed the advanced doubles technique "Pile Mirage" with Shishido. Despite an arm injury from overusing the Neo Scud Serve, the Silver Pair won. Their synergy stems from deep mutual trust, enabling Otori to cover Shishido's movements strategically and limit opponents' options. Observers noted defeating them required an exceptional doubles pair.

After Nationals, Otori earned an invitation to the Japan U-17 Camp. In the initial tie-break elimination, paired with Shishido, he defeated him 9-7, resulting in Shishido's temporary removal. Otori later lost a shuffle match to 6th Court member Enjoji Kazuki but won their rematch after intensive training, advancing to the 6th Court himself. He witnessed the camp's Revolution and Genius 10 challenge events, supporting teammates.

In the "Hyotei vs. Rikkai Game of Future" exhibition, Otori partnered Munehiro Kabaji in Doubles 1 against Sanada and Yanagi, losing 4-6. Later, during Shishido's Singles 3 match against Yagyuu, Otori assisted from the sidelines, analyzing and devising a counter to Yagyuu's "Reflection Laser" technique, contributing to Shishido's 7-6 victory. This demonstrated their enduring partnership dynamics.

Beyond tennis, Otori plays piano and violin, possesses perfect pitch, and frequents the music room. He dislikes discussions about love and abandoned buildings, enjoys daily bird feeding, and spends his allowance on sheet music. His family includes his grandmother, parents, an older sister, and a cat named Fortunata. He values honesty and prioritizes others' well-being over personal pride, shown by offering medical aid to injured players. His motto is "One for all, All for one."
