TV-Series
Description
Nab Lasaro is a mage belonging to the Fairy Tail guild. He was originally depicted as an extremely tall, heavily muscular young man with a large frame, straight black hair styled in a bob cut, and white tribal-like stripes across his cheeks. After the seven-year time skip following the Tenrou Island incident, his appearance changed significantly: he became visibly overweight with a prominent belly, lost muscle mass, grew his hair longer to shoulder length, and sported a thin beard. His attire also shifted from a Norse-inspired outfit with fur, armor plates, and skull ornaments to a style reminiscent of an ancient Native American, complete with a light red cape, bandages on his limbs, and a large red feather in his headband.

Not much is known about Nab's past before joining Fairy Tail. His personality is defined by a noticeable indecisiveness and a tendency to spend a great deal of time standing in front of the guild's request board, yet rarely accepting any jobs. He claims to be searching for a special mission that only he can accomplish, but this habit frustrated fellow members like Erza, Warren, and Max, who scolded him for not contributing to the guild's finances. When Lucy Heartfilia asked him to team up for a mission, he declined, stating he prefers to work alone. Despite his reluctance to take on jobs, Nab is protective of the request board and often shouts at Natsu Dragneel when the latter punches or destroys it. He also shows consideration for others' feelings, such as when he expressed concern that Natsu's search for the missing Macao might hurt Macao's pride.

Throughout the series, Nab's role is that of a background supporting character who participates in major guild conflicts. During the war with Phantom Lord, he managed to defeat a few enemy members before being overpowered and knocked out by Gajeel Redfox, breaking his arm in the process. In the Battle of Fairy Tail arc, he fought Vijeeter but was later defeated by Bickslow; after being awakened by Warren's telepathy, he helped his guildmates destroy the Thunder Palace. Nab was also swept up in the Anima event that turned the guild into Lacrima crystals, and was later freed by Mystogan. Following the disappearance of the Tenrou team, Nab was one of the few members who remained with the guild during its difficult seven years, and he was present when the missing members finally returned, sharing in the emotional reunion.

Nab's key relationships are largely with his guildmates. He interacts frequently with Natsu, Erza, and Lucy, though not in a close friendship; rather, he is often on the receiving end of Erza's scolding for his inactivity. His interactions with other minor members such as Warren and Max also revolve around his lack of job-taking. He shows respect for Master Makarov and defers to his authority. Nab does not have any notable rivalries or deep bonds with specific characters; he is a familiar face in the guild's daily life and group scenes.

His development over the story is subtle. Initially a tall, fit mage, after the time skip he becomes physically out of shape, which may reflect his reduced activity and motivation. While he continues to hang around the request board, he occasionally accepts jobs during the seven-year gap but abandons every single one before reaching the destination, highlighting his persistent indecision. However, when the guild is under threat, he does join in battles and contributes to larger group efforts, showing a sense of loyalty.

Nab's notable ability is a form of Seid magic that allows him to confine the spirits of animals within his own body. By incorporating these animal spirits, he gains their powers and can use them in combat. This magic is similar to Bickslow's in that it involves spirits, but Nab's version focuses on animal souls that merge with his physical form rather than being controlled externally. He has demonstrated the ability to fight multiple opponents, though his actual combat record shows he can be defeated by stronger mages like Gajeel and Bickslow. No other specific spells or techniques are detailed in the available information.
