Description
Fée Baba is a supporting character introduced in Ojamajo Doremi DOKKAAN!, the fourth season of the series. She is a fairy who originally served Majo Tourbillon, the former queen of the Witch World. Baba is freed from a state of dormancy when the infant witch Hana visits Tourbillon’s coffin in the Witch World, inadvertently releasing her spirit. Following this event, the current queen of the Witch World entrusts Baba to the apprentice witches Doremi and her friends to serve as a guide for their new mission.

In terms of personality, Baba initially displays a haughty and contemptuous demeanor. Upon being left in the care of the main characters, she behaves in a scornful and dismissive manner towards Majo Rika, the adult witch who runs the magic shop, and the young apprentices themselves. This attitude reflects her long history and her previous service to a high-ranking figure, but she eventually integrates into the group to fulfill her purpose.

Baba’s primary role in the story is to assist Doremi and her fellow apprentice witches in their new task. The magic shop that previously operated as a bakery is transformed into a fabric and tailoring shop. Baba, along with a young elephant named Pao-chan, helps the girls create handmade clothing. The clothes they produce are offered to the lingering spirit of the former queen, Majo Tourbillon, as the central method for breaking a powerful curse that she had been under. Therefore, Baba acts as a knowledgeable guide and helper in this specialized mission of crafting magical garments. Her key relationship is with her former master, Majo Tourbillon, and her motivations are tied to serving the queen and aiding in the resolution of the curse affecting her mistress’s memory. As a fairy, Baba possesses magical abilities and knowledge inherent to her kind, which allow her to perform tasks and provide guidance that is essential for the operation of the new magic shop.
