TV-Series
Description
In the final season of the series, Ojamajo Doremi DOKKAAN!, Emilly Fujiwara is an eleven-year-old witch apprentice and a core member of the group. Known as Hazuki Fujiwara in the original Japanese version, she is the second girl to join the apprenticeship, following the discovery that her best friend, Doremi Harukaze, is practicing magic. Emilly comes from a wealthy and respected family, which provides her with a life of material comfort but also imposes strict expectations, particularly from her mother, an interior architect who controls her daughter's schedule and appearance.
Emilly is characterized by her gentle, polite, and highly intelligent nature. As the top student in her class, she is academically gifted and well-mannered, often acting as a voice of reason within her friend group. Despite her privileged upbringing, she is modest and naturally shy, which makes socializing outside her close circle difficult for her. This timidity extends to a well-known fear of ghosts, which often causes her to panic. Early in the series, she struggles with passivity and a lack of confidence, partly due to her mother's overprotectiveness, which leaves her hesitant to express her own desires for fear of disappointing others. A key emotional through-line for Emilly involves her long-standing romantic feelings for her childhood friend, Masaru Yada.
In the narrative of DOKKAAN!, Emilly, along with her friends, reunites at the Magic Shop and continues her duties as an apprentice witch. A central part of her role involves caring for Hana, a magical baby from the Witch World who has rapidly aged to match the girls' age but has broken her magical crystals, forcing her to restart her training as an apprentice. Throughout this season, Emilly provides a stabilizing and nurturing presence, helping to care for Hana as she navigates her new life in the human world. She shares a deep bond with her fairy partner, Rere, who is as gentle and intelligent as she is.
Her relationships are a cornerstone of her development. Her friendship with the optimistic and sometimes clumsy Doremi is her most significant, as it provides her with a foundation of support and encourages her to step outside her comfort zone. By the events of the final season, Emilly has grown considerably from the hesitant girl she once was. She learns to assert her own will, culminating in a major decision to attend a prestigious secondary school separate from Doremi, an act that symbolizes her growing independence while maintaining their close friendship.
As the Orange Witch Apprentice, Emilly's magical theme color is orange, and she is accompanied by her fairy, Rere. Her transformation phrase is "Pretty Witch Hazuki tchi!", and her spell incantation is "Paipai Ponpoi Puwapuwa Puu!". Although she initially fumbled during her first transformation attempt when her glasses snagged on her clothes, she quickly overcame this and became one of the most skilled and capable spellcasters among the original trio, rarely, if ever, failing a witch's exam. Her magical abilities are often used with a gentle and thoughtful touch, reflecting her precise and caring personality.
