Description
Kinkotsuman, whose real name is Sharekoube, is an alien supervillain from the planet Dokuro. He first appears as an invading force attempting to conquer Earth, establishing himself as an early nemesis to the protagonist Kinnikuman. His alias, Kinkotsuman, translates roughly to Bone-and-Tendon Man, and his skeletal appearance is marked by long white hair and the Japanese character for bone on his forehead.

In terms of personality, Kinkotsuman fancies himself a brilliant and cunning evil genius, but his actions consistently prove him to be foolish, silly, and incredibly inept. Despite his persistent and vengeful nature, leading him to launch countless schemes against his rival, his plans are always doomed to fail due to some massive, often comedic, flaw. He is frequently depicted as short-tempered and abusive, particularly towards his loyal but hapless stone monster sidekick, Iwao, on whom he often vents his frustration.

His primary motivation is a burning desire for revenge against Kinnikuman after being swiftly defeated in their first encounter. This obsession drives him to interfere in nearly every aspect of Kinnikuman's life, from attempting to sabotage his training and qualification matches for the Choujin Olympics to trying to kidnap him. His plots are often petty and underhanded, involving tactics like tickling opponents during a weightlifting competition, planting a bomb on the moon, or using a mind-control ray to enlarge zoo animals. In a more significant act of villainy, one of his attempts to shoot Kinnikuman results in his ally Terryman being hit instead, an injury that later requires a prosthetic leg.

Despite his role as a villain, Kinkotsuman's role in the story evolves over time. He begins as a genuine threat but quickly becomes a recurring comedic antagonist, serving as a source of humor and low-stakes interference. In a surprising turn during the finals of the Choujin Olympics, he even abandons his scheming to support Kinnikuman, slapping him to restore his confidence and cheering him on to victory. His role later diminishes, and he largely disappears from the main narrative of the original manga, though he continues to appear in the anime as part of the crowd cheering for the heroes.

Key relationships define much of his character arc. His partnership with Iwao is a classic master-servant dynamic, with Kinkotsuman as the abusive and demanding leader. His relationship with his son, Bone Cold, who appears in the sequel series Kinnikuman Nisei, is more complex; his history of physically abusing the boy to vent his own frustrations leads Bone Cold to become a cold and resentful assassin. This behavior forces Kinkotsuman to confront the error of his ways, leading to a genuine change of heart. He falls into poverty and misery, and eventually attempts to atone for his past actions, becoming a kinder person.

In terms of abilities, Kinkotsuman is not a particularly powerful fighter, with a Choujin Power level of 200,000. However, he compensates with a knack for invention and marksmanship. He has created a UFO-shaped flying base, a sophisticated mecha named Ukon that he pilots, and various ray guns capable of making people invisible or controlling their minds. His known wrestling techniques include a backdrop, a headbutt, and a DDT. Ultimately, his cunning and technological skill are always undermined by his own foolishness, making him a memorable and comedic figure.
