TV-Series
Description
Moe Shishigawara is a high school student from Miyashita Commercial High School and a Fullbringer, a human born with the ability to manipulate the souls within matter due to remnants of a Hollow attack on his mother. He becomes a loyal subordinate of Shūkurō Tsukishima and works under him as a devoted follower, considering Tsukishima the person he respects most and striving to be his number one aide. Moe has a tough, delinquent appearance with a shaved head and a buzzed mohawk, grey eyes, and a confrontational demeanor. He wears brass knuckles decorated with the triple sevens, a symbol of luck in gambling, which relate directly to his Fullbring ability.
His fullbring, called Jackpot Knuckle, is channeled through these iron knuckles on his right hand. When he strikes an opponent, his power functions like a gambling system, giving him a random chance to land a jackpot hit that vastly amplifies the force of the blow, allowing him to destroy solid objects such as trees with a single punch. However, the odds of triggering the jackpot decrease with repeated attacks on the same target, making his power unreliable and unpredictable. Moe is arrogant and overconfident in his fighting skills, but he struggles when faced with opponents he finds attractive, as seen when he is nearly unable to fight Orihime Inoue after seeing her and instantly falling in love with her.
During the Xcution arc, Moe serves Tsukishima in his plot against Ichigo Kurosaki and the other Fullbringers. He is involved in combat against Ikkaku Madarame, a Soul Reaper, and manages to injure him despite Ikkaku's high spiritual energy, demonstrating that Moe himself possesses considerable reiryoku for a human. After Tsukishima's defeat and the dissolution of Xcution, Moe effectively disappears from the main story, with no further major appearances in the series. His development is limited; he remains a loyal but relatively minor antagonist whose role highlights the blind loyalty Tsukishima commands and the chaotic nature of luck-based combat. His relationship with Tsukishima is the most defining aspect of his character, and his infatuation with Orihime adds a brief comic element. Moe does not undergo significant growth, remaining a straightforward if unreliable combatant with a gimmick power.
