Description
AC1677 is a rookie erythrocyte navigating a severely unhealthy body. He maintains a close friendship with fellow red blood cell AA2153, forged during their training at bone marrow school before entering circulatory system duties.

Physically, AC1677 possesses straight blonde hair reaching his chin and frequently keeps his eyes closed. His stature contrasts with AA2153, being slightly shorter in the manga depiction yet taller in the anime adaptation.

Initially easy-going but prone to avoiding difficult situations, AC1677 often slacks off by resting at capillaries instead of working. He exhibits a fearful, self-preserving nature, attempting to escape hardships perceived as unnecessarily dangerous. Despite this tendency, AA2153's dedication and encouragement consistently motivate him to perform his duties.

AC1677's development involves significant struggles with insecurity and jealousy. When AA2153 earns recognition as Top Rookie, AC1677 feels inadequate and deliberately distances himself. This leads him toward irresponsible veteran erythrocytes who introduce him to caffeine and arginine stimulants, resulting in near-fatal addiction during a severe nosebleed incident. He recovers through AA2153's intervention and reassurance of their friendship, which renews his sense of responsibility.

Underlying loyalty persists throughout his challenges. His commitment culminates in sacrificing himself to save AA2153 during a stomach ulcer crisis, pushing AA2153 away from lethal gastric acid before plunging into it himself, permanently ending his service within the body.

His death profoundly impacts AA2153, contributing to an emotional breakdown and subsequent survivor's guilt. Before his demise, AC1677 develops a connection with an ordinary female cell, with implications of mutual affection; her grief following his death indicates the depth of their relationship.
