Description
Furoe is a sixteen-year-old Sybilla who pilots a Simoun, serving as a member of the distinguished Chor Tempest squadron. She is of short stature with long orange hair and an energetic presence. As a pilot, Furoe operates as a shooter, forming a pair with her partner Alty.

Furoe is defined by her lively, childlike, and remarkably straightforward personality. She rarely hesitates to speak her mind or act on her impulses, a characteristic that stands in stark contrast to the more reserved and strict members of her squadron. This honesty and lack of pretense make her a source of levity, as she often cuts through heavy or tense atmospheres. Her emotional spectrum is wide and vividly expressed; she is known for being talkative, prone to bias, and open with both her joy and her frustration. One of her most defining traits is her love for conflict, as she displays a genuine and enthusiastic enjoyment of battle. Despite this combative nature, she is deeply sentimental and feels the pain of her comrades' departures and the losses they endure acutely.

The central motivation driving much of Furoe's actions is love and personal connection. All of her thinking is fundamentally based on romance, making her a love-rich少女 who is constantly in pursuit of her affections. She is bold in her pursuit, having developed a crush on the talented newcomer Aaer and openly asking to become her partner, though the request was ultimately rejected. Prior to this, she had a romantic relationship with Waporif, the chief mechanic of the aircraft carrier Arcus Prima, but that relationship ended due to her intense possessiveness.

Beyond her own romantic pursuits, Furoe serves a critical role within the story as an unexpected catalyst for the emotional development of her crewmates. In contrast to her childish demeanor, she possesses considerable experience and insight regarding matters of the heart. She is credited with being instrumental in helping to foster the key relationships between Aaer and the squadron leader Neviril, as well as between the young Sybilla Rimone and the more experienced Dominura. She actively explains concepts like the nature of liking someone and the feeling of jealousy, pushing her more hesitant friends to confront and acknowledge their own feelings. This ability to bluntly articulate emotional truths shapes the personal journeys of the other characters.

In terms of abilities, Furoe is a capable combat pilot who fulfills the shooter role in her pair. Her aggressive and combative attitude translates into her piloting style, as she is known for her tenacity in chasing down enemies. She shares a trusting and reliable relationship with her partner, Alty, which is essential for synchronizing their movements to pilot the Simoun and perform the sacred arcane maneuvers known as Ri Maajon.

Furoe experiences a significant arc that resolves after the central conflict of the war concludes. With the end of hostilities, all Sybillas are required to journey to the spring to choose their permanent sex and become adults. True to her assertive nature, Furoe makes a definitive choice, selecting to become a man. In the aftermath of this transition and the decommissioning of the Simoun fleet, she leaves her former life behind to build a new one. She establishes a farm near the lake where the Arcus Prima is permanently beached. While living this new life, she occasionally sails out to board the derelict airship, taking time to remember her past as a Sybilla and the bonds she shared with her fellow pilots.
