Description
Fukuro is the twenty-seven-year-old alternate future version of Isami, a young boy living in the Japanese city of Hakodate in the early 21st century. He originates from the dystopian future dimension known as La'cryma, where he serves as a member of the Dragon Knights, a group of soldiers fighting to preserve their collapsing reality. His name is the Japanese word for owl, continuing the bird-themed naming convention among the Dragon Cavalry.

Physically, Fukuro has undergone a significant transformation from his younger self, Isami. He is tall and muscular, with long brown hair tied back in a ponytail. His most distinguishing feature is the loss of his left eye, over which a prominent scar runs down across his face, also affecting the left corner of his mouth. This injury marks him as a battle-hardened veteran of the conflicts in La'cryma.

Personality-wise, Fukuro stands in stark contrast to his comrade, Karasu. While Karasu is tormented and burdened by his mission, Fukuro has managed to retain a sense of humor and a laid-back, easygoing demeanor. His personal motto appears to be a carefree "Don't worry about it," and he often serves as a grounding, more optimistic presence among the otherwise grim Dragon Knights. He finds the world of Haruka's time, a place of relative peace and normalcy, to be far less painful than his own reality, and he looks upon the lives of his younger self and his friends with a sense of fondness.

Fukuro's primary motivation is deeply personal, driven by his bonds with others. Unlike some knights who are solely focused on their mission's objective, Fukuro's actions are consistently guided by loyalty and friendship. He is best friends with Karasu, and when Karasu was declared a traitor for refusing to harm the Dragon Torque, it was Fukuro who was ordered to eliminate him. However, Fukuro failed the mission by choice, deciding instead to aid his friend rather than kill him. His care for his own past is also a key motivator; he takes action to save his younger self, Isami, from danger, showing a direct investment in the timeline from which he originated.

Within the story, Fukuro plays the role of a conflicted ally and a tragic figure. He confronts Karasu in Hakodate, but his heart is not in the fight, and he hates the idea of killing his friend. This rooftop battle is a pivotal moment, as Haruka uses her power to intervene and stop the fight, preventing the death of either combatant as she had foreseen in a vision. Fukuro ultimately agrees to help protect Haruka and work alongside Karasu. However, his fate is sealed when the powerful entity Noein, observing the events, intervenes and disintegrates him. Fukuro meets his end not in battle against his friend, but as a direct consequence of Haruka's attempt to change a tragic future.

His key relationships are central to his character. His friendship with the future version of Ai is notable, as his final expressed wish is to see her one more time before he dies. He also serves as a positive, if fleeting, influence on his younger self and Yu,Isami's best friend, admonishing them to "stay friends" in a world that seems determined to tear such bonds apart.

In terms of abilities, as a Dragon Knight, Fukuro is a formidable combatant. He wields a spin weapon that manifests as clusters of laser-like projectiles, which he can deploy offensively. He has also demonstrated the power to call down lightning bolts as an attack, suggesting a control over energy-based attacks. His physical strength and combat skill allow him to stand as an equal to other knights like Karasu and Atori.
