Jeager, known in the Japanese version as Yeager and in English as Lazar, is a supporting character in the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. A short, effeminate man with spiky purple hair and distinctive makeup featuring red lipstick and two vertical red lines over his eyes, his appearance often draws comparisons to a clown. He dresses in an opulent red coat with gold trim, a costume that reflects his theatrical background.
Born into a circus-performing family, Jeager grew up in poverty despite his family's hard work. As the eldest sibling, he left home to find a stable job to support his relatives, who all shared his unique appearance. Following Goodwin's death, Jeager is manipulated into serving the Three Emperors of Yliaster, who promise him the directorship of Sector Security. He is forced to steal Yusei and Bruno's engine program, an act that leads to Yliaster betraying him and attempting to kill him. This betrayal becomes a turning point, prompting Jeager to choose survival and the protection of his family over his ambition.
