Description
Davy Crickett is a character who appears in the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, introduced at the start of the second season. In the original Japanese version, his name is Tyranno Kenzan, and he is also known as Tyranno Hassleberry in other localizations. He is a student assigned to the Ra Yellow dormitory.
Regarding his background, Davy Crickett is a transfer student who joins Duel Academy in Jaden Yuki's second year. Despite scoring high on the entrance exam, he is placed in Ra Yellow because he did not attend a preparatory school. His most distinctive trait stems from an accident during a childhood dinosaur dig, where a rock slide permanently damaged the tibia of his left leg. A fragment of a dinosaur fossil he had unearthed was used to replace the damaged bone, a procedure which had the unusual side effect of fusing his DNA with that of a dinosaur. This fusion is sometimes visually represented by his pupils changing into reptile-like slits, particularly during duels or moments of excitement.
