Description
Yuria Niguredou is a petite, high school student with a childlike build, sharing classes with Miko Yotsuya and Hana Yurikawa. She sports medium-length blonde hair, usually in pigtails featuring faded pink tips in animated versions. Her school uniform incorporates mushroom or lolita accessories and black leggings. Pushy, fearless, and determined, she possesses a mischievous streak, often trying to prove her spiritual sight to Miko. Yuria reveres fortune teller Mitsue Takeda as an "all-powerful god," relentlessly pursuing an apprenticeship despite constant rejection. This devotion fuels her initial rivalry with Miko, whom she views as an obstacle mocking her ambitions by denying spiritual powers. Yuria also feels shy about genuine connections, sheepishly using a group photo with Miko and Hana as her phone wallpaper.

Born with the ability to see spirits, Yuria perceives only faint, translucent low-level entities, though she uniquely detects auras invisible to Miko. Her sight briefly intensifies near physical collapse, allowing faint glimpses of stronger spirits. This limitation drives her quest for training, believing she can earn Mitsue's approval. Her background involves persistently visiting Mitsue's fortune-telling shop before its closure. Learning of Miko and Hana's prior visits after Mitsue departs, she fixates on Miko, misreading her avoidance of spirits as expert exorcism. A pivotal gym equipment room incident cements Yuria's wariness; after Miko restrains her to protect her from a dangerous spirit, Yuria awakens hospitalized, misreading the event as an attack and sparking rumors Miko "killed a girl."

Yuria orchestrates a tunnel photoshoot with Hana and Miko to test Miko's abilities, attracting malevolent spirits. Unable to perceive the strongest entity, she credits Miko for its disappearance, reinforcing her belief in Miko's hidden power. Later, she discovers online spiritualist Romm Shindou, joining his cursed-location tour. Initially convinced of his authenticity, she grows disillusioned as he peddles overpriced protective items. At a canyon bridge, her prayer beads snap, causing a near-fall; Romm rescues her but flees when a spirit manifests, exposing his fraudulence and highlighting her lingering vulnerability.

Her relationships evolve across events: rivalry with Miko shifts to wary respect after they collaborate to protect Hana from spiritual harm. She develops genuine concern for Hana, defending her from perceived bullying by Miko and enduring Hana's reluctance during spirit investigations. Despite Mitsue's continued rejection, Yuria's admiration remains unwavering. Her involvement in a mountain shrine incident—where Miko confronts a "god" to void a contract endangering Hana—further integrates her into their dynamic. Still aspiring to greatness, she increasingly participates in their efforts, slowly embracing collaboration over solitary ambition.
