TV-Series
Description
Bayhan Garshield is the primary antagonist of the Football Frontier International arc and the true mastermind behind many of the original series' central conflicts. He is a tall, slim man with tanned skin, a long purple beard, pointy ears, a long pointy nose, and a monocle over his right eye, almost always dressed in a red suit. As a powerful and ruthless oil magnate with enormous global political influence, his ultimate goal is to achieve world domination and amass incalculable wealth. To do this, he plans to create a vicious cycle of war by disrupting oil supplies, then profit by supplying weapons and resources to the resulting conflicts. He sees soccer not as a sport, but as a powerful tool for war and a means to gather test subjects for his ambitions.

Garshield is the man who originally ordered the death of the legendary coach Daisuke Endou, manipulating Reiji Kageyama to carry out the act, which forced Daisuke into hiding for forty years. He also later orders Kageyama's assassination to prevent him from revealing secrets to the police. During the FFI, Garshield poses as the coach of the Brazilian national team, The Kingdom, publicly promoting a false message of world peace through soccer. In secret, he uses players like Demonio Strada and Mac Roniejo as test subjects for an experimental enhancement project known as the RH Program, which aims to create super-powered soldiers, with Roniejo being successfully hypnotized by the sound of a whistle.

Garshield's true nature is eventually exposed during the match between Inazuma Japan and The Kingdom, leading to his arrest by Detective Onigawara. However, he soon escapes custody with the help of his assistant, Henktacker, and deploys his own private team of super-powered players, called Team Garshield, to attack Liocott Island. This team is composed of individuals from a war-torn Middle Eastern nation who were deceived into believing Garshield was working for their country's benefit, accepting the RH Program to gain power. After a match against Inazuma Japan, Team Garshield is defeated. Realizing they were merely pawns in his scheme for world conquest, they ultimately betray him, helping to ensure his final arrest by international police forces.
