TV-Series
Description
Claude Beacons is a character who initially appears as a formidable rival before becoming a key member of the Korean national team, Fire Dragon. He is also known by his alien identity Torch and his original Japanese name, Haruya Nagumo. He is a forward with a powerful presence on the field, recognized for his fiery red hair styled into four flame-like spikes and his striking golden eyes.

In terms of personality, Claude Beacons is defined by his hot-blooded, aggressive, and rebellious nature. He is extremely arrogant and possesses a strong desire to prove himself as the strongest player, showing little patience for taking orders, especially from certain rivals. His impulsive and arrogant demeanor is often a direct contrast to the calm and collected personality of his counterpart, Bryce Whitingale, also known as Gazelle. Despite his outwardly fiery and confrontational attitude, his character shows hints of complexity, as he is capable of acting with a certain degree of restraint and focus in high-stakes matches.

The character's primary motivation is driven by a deep-seated jealousy and a fierce competitive rivalry with Xavier Foster, whose team, Genesis, was chosen as the top team at Alius Academy. Consumed by the need to demonstrate that he is superior, Claude Beacons went so far as to form a new joint team, Chaos, with his rival Gazelle in direct opposition to Xavier. The creation of Chaos was his ultimate act of rebellion to prove his strength and settle the score, showing that he would do almost anything to rise to the top.

Within the story, Claude Beacons is first introduced in the second season when the Raimon team is searching for a legendary Flame Striker on the island of Okinawa. He initially deceives the team, pretending to be the player they are looking for in an attempt to infiltrate their ranks. This plan is exposed by Xavier Foster, revealing his true identity as the captain of the Prominence team, one of the supreme-ranked squads at Alius Academy. After his deception fails, he and Gazelle unleash the secret Chaos team, which overwhelms Raimon in a match. In the third season, his role evolves as he joins the Korean national team, Fire Dragon, alongside Gazelle and Byron Love, to compete against Inazuma Japan in the Football Frontier International tournament.

His key relationships are central to his development. His intense animosity and rivalry with Xavier Foster is the driving force behind many of his early actions. Conversely, his partnership with Gazelle is initially one of contrasting personalities, but their mutual goal and eventual cooperation lead to the creation of powerful combination plays. Their relationship deepens from simply being allies of convenience to a more genuine partnership, effectively working together on the field for Fire Dragon.

Through his journey, Claude Beacons undergoes notable development. He begins as a rebellious and hot-headed antagonist, fixated on personal glory and revenge against Xavier. However, by the time he plays for Fire Dragon, he demonstrates a more mature and cooperative side. He becomes less arrogant, his interactions with his teammates, including his former rivals, become more focused on team strategy, and he is able to control his impulsiveness during critical matches.

As a player, Claude Beacons boasts several notable abilities that reflect his fiery element. His signature solo shot is known as Atomic Flare, a powerful strike that generates intense flames and was shown to be strong enough to break through formidable defensive techniques. His most famous combination technique is Fire Blizzard, a spectacular hissatsu he performs with Gazelle that merges fire and ice into a single, devastating shot. Later, he also masters an even more powerful triple technique, the Chaos Cannon or Chaotic Strike, performed with Gazelle and Byron Love. On the field, he is a dangerous forward known for his incredible prowess in aerial play and his ability to control the ball with prodigious precision.
