TV-Series
Description
Kakuma Keita is a character from the Inazuma Eleven series, known primarily for his role as a passionate and dedicated sports commentator, though he is also a student at Raimon Junior High School and can be recruited as a soccer player in the games. A second-year student, he is recognized by his very short blue-gray hair and his distinctive red-framed glasses, typically wearing the Raimon school uniform. As the series progresses into Inazuma Eleven GO, his appearance matures; his hair becomes somewhat longer, his glasses thicker, and he is later seen in a blue suit with a red-and-white striped tie and headphones as part of a television crew.

Keita's primary motivation is his aspiration to follow in the footsteps of his father, Oushou Kakuma, who is also a well-known sports commentator. This ambition drives him from his initial position as a member of the Raimon Chess Club to his self-appointed role as the commentator for the Raimon soccer team's matches. His dedication comes from a place of genuine fandom; he does not receive payment for his commentary but is driven purely by his love for the team and the sport, seeing his mission as reporting on every single Raimon match.

In terms of personality, Kakuma is known for his fairness and professionalism, even in his self-assigned role. Although he clearly supports Raimon, especially when they are at a disadvantage, he does not provide biased commentary and is sure to praise the opposing team's plays and abilities when deserved. He possesses an almost superhuman level of dedication, appearing to broadcast matches from any location. This includes not just local games but also nationwide travels during the second season, where he follows the team to regions like Hokkaido, Kyoto, Osaka, and Okinawa, often arriving in absurd ways, such as jumping out of a snowman or a coconut. This dedication extends to infiltrating secure, secret facilities, such as the Aliea Academy headquarters, to ensure he can commentate on crucial matches.

His role in the story is almost exclusively that of the narrator for the audience, providing play-by-play analysis and insight into the ongoing soccer matches. Keita has an encyclopedic knowledge of players' techniques and playstyles, not only for Raimon but also for opposing teams, including the mysterious Aliea Academy, whose moves he is often able to analyze and name on the spot. He commentates on major tournaments, including the U-15 Spring Cup, the Football Frontier, and the Holy Road nationals. While his role diminishes in the third season as the story moves to the international FFI (Football Frontier International) tournament, he makes a final appearance commentating the graduation match held at Raimon Junior High. The character has a younger brother named Kakuma Ayumu, a fact confirmed by Level-5 president Akihiro Hino, continuing the family's connection to the world of soccer broadcasting.

In the video games, Kakuma can be scouted and added to the player's team, where he plays as a midfielder. His abilities in the games include special moves that progress across different titles. In earlier games, his techniques include Gorimuchuu, Monkey Turn, Dokonjou Bat, and Bunshin Feint. In later games, such as Inazuma Eleven 3, his moveset evolves to include techniques like Super Scan, Megane Crash, and Echo Ball.
