TV-Series
Description
Kogure Yuuya is a defender who first appears as a reserve player for Manyuuji Junior High in Kyoto. Abandoned by his parents at a young age, he grew into a mischievous and distrustful child, often playing pranks and refusing to rely on others. This troublesome behavior caused him to be repeatedly expelled from his school team despite his natural talent for soccer.
When the Raimon caravan arrives at Manyuuji and the Aliea Academy team Epsilon threatens to destroy the school if it cannot win a match, Kogure’s perspective begins to shift. After an honest conversation with Haruna Otonashi, he reconsiders his attitude and decides to help Raimon fight against Aliea. He stows away on the caravan and formally joins Raimon as a defender for the second season of the series.
His fighting style blends soccer with moves inspired by shaolin kung fu, giving him impressive agility and unpredictability on the field. His signature technique is Senpuujin, a whirling kick. Later, he collaborates with Tsunami and Touko to form the combination technique Perfect Tower, and he also takes part in the team-wide move The Earth.
Initially solitary and unwilling to trust teammates, Kogure gradually learns to open up and work within a team. He remains a playful trickster but becomes a loyal and dependable member of Raimon. In the third season, he is selected for the national team Inazuma Japan and continues to play as a defender. In the sequel series Inazuma Eleven GO, he appears as the captain of the adult soccer club Akizora Challengers, showing how his growth into a responsible leader continued after his time with Raimon.
