Description
Mac Roniejo is a forward and the captain of The Kingdom, the Brazilian national football team that appears during the Football Frontier International tournament arc of Inazuma Eleven. He is a tall young man with raised black hair, black eyes, thick lips, and dark skin. His name and playing style are inspired by real‑life Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho, and he is often referred to as the King of Fantasy. Mac Roniejo is deeply passionate about football and genuinely cares for his teammates and innocent people. He is a loyal and animated character who celebrates goals with lively samba dancing, showing a warm and companionable nature. However, during the tournament, he and his team are manipulated by the villain Garshield, who uses the RH Program to hypnotize Mac Roniejo with the sound of a whistle, forcing him to play against his true will. In the semi‑final match against Inazuma Japan, Mac Roniejo initially plays under this control, but after Garshield’s scheme is exposed, he is freed from the hypnosis and begins to play with his genuine skill and joy. Once liberated, he gives Inazuma Japan a very difficult match, showcasing his true abilities before ultimately losing. Throughout the tournament, Mac Roniejo scores a total of fourteen goals, consistently netting three in every match except the one against Inazuma Japan, where he scores two. His signature hissatsu techniques include the Strike Samba (in its second and third versions) and the team tactic Amazon River Wave. After the tournament, he and The Kingdom escape Garshield’s control and find a good ending. Mac Roniejo’s development moves from being a manipulated opponent to a free‑spirited and formidable footballer who values the beauty of the sport above all.
