Description
Keita Kakuma is a student at Raimon Middle School who nurtures a deep aspiration to become a sports commentator, following in the professional footsteps of his father, Oushou Kakuma. He is recognizable by his very short blue-gray hair and a pair of red-framed glasses, often seen in his school uniform. In later installments such as Inazuma Eleven GO, his appearance matures; his hair grows somewhat longer, his glasses acquire a thicker frame, and he is dressed in a blue suit with a red-and-white striped necktie, often wearing headphones as part of a television crew.

Although he originally belonged to the Raimon Chess Club, Keita transitions into the role of a commentator, driven by his ambition to emulate his father's career. His motivation is purely a love for soccer and broadcasting; he provides commentary for matches not as a paid job but out of sheer passion and fandom, considering it his mission to report on every single one of Raimon's games. His dedication is almost superhuman, as he appears seemingly anywhere the team plays, from local stadiums to remote locations, even managing to broadcast from inside the hidden headquarters of a formidable opponent like Aliea Academy.

Keita's role in the story is primarily that of an observer and chronicler, providing play-by-play narration for many of Raimon's crucial matches throughout various tournaments, including the Football Frontier, the U-15 Spring Cup, and the Holy Road nationals. His commentary is noted for being fair and unbiased; while he supports Raimon, he does not hesitate to praise the skills of the opposing team, fulfilling his duties as a professional and impartial observer. Beyond his vocal role, he is also a recruitable player for the soccer team in the video games, where he plays as a midfielder. When recruited, he brings a set of his own special moves to the field, including techniques like Gorimuchuu, Monkey Turn, Dokonjou Bat, and Bunshin Feint in earlier games, which later progress to moves like Super Scan, Megane Crash, and Echo Ball.

A key relationship in his life is with his father, Oushou Kakuma, a famous announcer who commentates major matches like the Football Frontier finals. Keita holds considerable respect for his father's commentary and is motivated by his legacy. The family tradition of broadcasting is further established as it is confirmed that Keita is the older brother of Kakuma Ayumu. Keita's development sees him grow from a starstruck chess club member into a confident and skilled commentator in his own right, a role he continues to evolve into across the series timeline, including during the events of Inazuma Eleven GO and the movie Inazuma Eleven: Saikyō Gundan Ogre Shūrai. His abilities are remarkable for an amateur; he is able to analyze and broadcast fast-paced action with speed and accuracy, often knowing the names and play styles of players on opposing teams that he has never encountered before, demonstrating his keen observational skills and thorough preparation.
