Description
Matsuno Kuusuke, more commonly known by his nickname Max, is a student at Raimon Junior High and a member of the school's soccer club. He first appears as a forward for the team and later serves as a midfielder during his time with the Dark Emperors. He joins the Raimon soccer club early in its revival, when the team has only seven members, and initially claims to participate simply to cure his boredom. However, he quickly develops a genuine enjoyment for the sport and remains with the team through the Football Frontier tournaments. He is later considered as a candidate for the Japanese national team Inazuma Japan but is not ultimately selected.
Max has a distinctive appearance, most notably his trademark striped plush hat with cat-like ears and his round, orange-brown nose. He is energetic, easygoing, and good-natured, often showing a cheerful and playful demeanor around his teammates.
